Carry Golf bags are literally carried by the golfer on their backs, staff golf bags are a larger version that allows for carrying much more equipment (more side pockets and panels etc.), and trolley golf bags are placed on pull golf trolleys and electric golf trolleys.

Most golfers acquire a carry golf bag when they first get into the sport, but at some point many will get themselves an electric golf trolley, therefore they will require a golf bag that they will be able to mount in the golf trolley, and these are the golf trolley bags. Some courses do not allow the golfers to walk on the golf course, therefore if they wish to play on such golf courses they will have to acquire a trolley golf bag and electric golf trolley, either by purchasing one or hiring one.
A golf bag that adds to your enjoyment of the game
When choosing a golf bag you need to take three key points into consideration: weight, robustness, and comfort. If cost is not too much of an issue then you can acquire light weight golf bags made from ultra light modern material (e.g. graphite). Usually the light weight bags are no where near as robust as their heavy counterparts, but these modern materials have made a significant improvement in the use of the golf bag.

When looking for a new golf bag, always make sure of the golf bag's resistance to water penetration. No doubt there will be a good number of times when playing a nice game of golf, when the sky decides to open up and send a ton of rain your way.
The extra niceties
Besides making easier when carrying your golf clubs, golf bags can come with a number of extras, such a side pockets, drink coolers, multiple compartments and dividers. Although things like the drinks cooler are not really necessary, they do add to the enjoyment of a game. Nothing like walking along and picking out a cool beer as and when needed.
